  • Complete EMSRT renewal
  • Integration into existing system landscape/infrastructure

Solution

For the existing steam turbine, software was created in PCS7 in order to integrate the steam turbine into the existing process control system. As part of automation, the entire EMSR technology was renewed.

In order to ensure continuous stable operation and to enable rapid response, sophisticated turbine control has been implemented. Particular emphasis was placed on ease of use and easy understanding by operators and implemented the user interface accordingly using the Siemens APL Library. Starting from automated start-up with turbine warm-up to excitation, synchronization, interface to generator protection and speed and withdrawal control, in order to be able to react immediately to load changes and continue to supply the entire plant without failure in the event of a network failure.

The turbine can be used both in grid mode and in island mode.
